🧲 Why Magnets Can’t Stop the Signal: A Costly Myth in the TI Community
For over a decade, targeted individuals have spent tens of thousands of dollars chasing magnetic “solutions” — but the results are in: magnets don’t work. And worse, they can be dangerous.
🧪 Real-World Test: 100 lb Magnet vs. Cell Phone Signal
I personally tested this:
- Placed a phone on a 100 lb neodymium magnet
- Brought a second 100 lb magnet within inches
- Made a live call
📞 Result:
No interruption.
Call quality unchanged.
The magnets did absolutely nothing to the signal.
🔍 Why Don’t Magnets Work?
1. Magnetic Fields Are Static
Strong magnets produce DC magnetic fields — they’re constant, not dynamic.
But the attacks most TIs describe come from:
- Microwave pulses
- RF carriers
- Modulated waveforms
- Possibly even nonlinear demodulation effects
Magnets don’t block or scramble any of those.
2. Modern Devices Are Immune to Static Fields
- Phones, implants, and wireless tech are tuned for RF, not static magnetism
- If magnets worked, your Wi-Fi router would shut down when a speaker is nearby
- Spoiler: it doesn’t
Magnets don’t stop Bluetooth, 5G, or satellite communication — and they sure don’t stop remote neural interference.
💸 TI Community Losses: Thousands Spent
In desperation, people have bought:
- $250+ industrial magnets
- Helmets loaded with magnets
- Weighted blankets filled with ferrite rings
Some even built full-body magnet enclosures.
⛔ Result: No protection. No signal drop. No relief.
⚠️ High-Power Magnet Safety Warning
These magnets:
- Explode if they snap together at speed
- Can cause severe injuries
- Attract tools, wires, screws — anything metal — with dangerous force
One slip and you’re dealing with broken fingers or a shattered magnet.
🧠 What Does Work?
To be clear:
❗ So far, nothing tested has completely blocked or stopped the signal of interest.
On our other page (read here → Shielding & Spectrum Suppression), we’ve documented:
- Shielding with YShield HSF54 paint
- Grounded copper strips and external rods
- High-resolution spectrum testing using BB60C
🎯 While these methods help us visualize the spectrum, they do not stop the attack.
❗ We have not yet tested what might be the only real contender:
A fully sealed, professionally grounded Faraday cage made of pure solid copper, walls and seams included — likely costing $50,000+
This would need:
- Continuous copper floor, walls, ceiling
- Double-layered mesh seam bonding
- Professional grounding with copper rods
- No penetrations (e.g., ventilation, wiring) unless filtered
Until then, no shielding has fully stopped the signal of interest.
🧾 Final Thoughts
Magnets aren’t just ineffective — they’re dangerous.
They don’t block frequency. They don’t scramble signals. And they don’t protect you from anything the attackers are using.
If you’ve been burned by this myth, you’re not alone. Let’s move forward and invest only in what can be tested, measured, and validated.
🧲 Don’t fall for the fridge magnet myth. Spend smart. Test everything. Believe nothing without data.
